“Bioparc” Zoo de Doué

UPDATE 22 JUNE 2012 – TWEEDLEDEE MAKES THE DRAW

SEE THE RESULT AND TWEEDLEDEE’S OWN WORDS TO THE WINNER IN THE “COMMENTS” SECTION

I have a pair of adult tickets worth 37€ available for this popular “bioparc” between Saumur and Angers in the Pays de la Loire – as I can’t use them, I’m offering the pair of them free in a draw that is open to everyone who leaves a comment on this post by midnight on 21st June 2012.

The comments box is at the end of the post.

Doué la Fontaine Bioparc is part of the European Endangered species Programme (EEP) under which animals are no longer captured or bought; they are instead exchanged between zoos that are members of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).

Breeding programmes and scientific research, together with a sympathetic approach to animal care and innovative enclosures, help to improve the well-being of the animals and make conditions  more like the natural environment.

The Great South American Aviary is new for 2012,  designed so visitors can immerse themselves completely and housing 500 birds in a landscape mimicking the Andes’ coast and canyons.

Adult 2012: 18,50 €

  1. Hello everyone and thanks for entering the draw. After a bit of confusion when the others tried to interfere, I finally picked up a piece of paper (see above) and when I opened it it said Becky Kendrick.

I wish Becky and her family a great day out and before I go back to my swim I’d like to thank Julia, Lechant, Jean and Steve for also taking part.

    Coin coin for now,

    Tweedledee

  4. Well, if you’re looking for a good home for them Phil, we can probably help! We’re not too far from Doué, and Syb says the zoo is well worrth the entrance fee anyway – even better if they’re free!

We’ll take them from you and put them up for grabs here if that’s ok?

  5. I have my 2 Grandchildren coming over to stay with me in France and would just love to take them to this beautiful Zoo where they can see and appreciate animals in an environment as close to their natural one as possible. It would be the highlight of their holiday I am sure.
