  1. Thank you for the warm welcome on the evening of March 16. Your lovely house, and the rooms you have refurbished, do you much credit. The excellent continental breakfast the following morning, meant that our onward journey got off to a great start. Will recommend your establishment to all my friends.

    1. Glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope you enjoyed fine weather during your trip to France – it’s looking a bit dodgy today but if we get any rain it’ll be the first since the start of the month so the garden needs it!

Please pass on our best wishes to Lesley, too.

  2. La Basse Cour looks really nice. I’ve had a look at my itenary and unfortunately, it’s in the wrong place. I’d have loved to have stayed there. Reggards. J-F

    1. I think you’d have to be so lost as to have no chance of finishing the Tour if you came past here! Don’t forget to let me know if a recce of Stage 7 would be any use to you – though I guess these days you can get a lot of the info you need off t’Internet. 🙂

Good morning to you both from Down-under.
We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. It was good to see the photos of your hard work on the place…it helped us appreciate your efforts and good taste:-)
We also appreciated your thoughtfulness and the effort you put in to make our stay an enjoyable one.
    Kind regards Carol & Llnda

    1. Hi Carol and Linda – lovely to hear from you again. After that long, dry summer the weather has turned more autumnal now – definitely chilly at night, the heating goes on today. I guess you’re into spring now but to be honest I’ve no idea how much variation there is in your seasons. We’re prepared for whatever the winter brings – wood all chopped and ready to go. 🙂

      All the best

      Phil & Jude
